But Paul said to the officers, “They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.”
The trials of Paul and Silas were cancelled and they were escorted out by the magistrates. Friends there is power in prayer.
Paul and Silas were accused for casting out a demon in a girl who makes a lot of money for her owners through fortune telling. They were beaten and thrown into prison. Depending on which side of the coin you look at the situation they may be guilty or not guilty. Yet without may trials, they were imprisoned. Even in the prison, the Lord was with them. May be we might also find ourselves in some sort of prison in this life. Take heart the Lord is with us.
As we also lift up prayers and singing of Hymns may every prison door be shattered in the name of Jesus. May every accusations against us be cancelled in the name of Jesus. And may we be escorted into our glory.
Let us pray
O Lord may every accusations against me and my family be cancelled in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
